Booking Terms & Conditions
Your contract is with Yeti Mountain Home. Below are the details of the terms and conditions of the booking agreement. Please read them carefully. When you make a booking and we accept it, a legally binding contract is made. When you complete our online booking form, you( and any other person on whose behalf you book) agree to accept all these conditions, you acknowledge that you have read the relevant trip notes and the General Information. You also warrant that the information given by you on the booking form is complete and true.
A completed booking form and the required deposit must be forwarded to the office. The full balance is then due 60 days prior to departure. If the balance is not received by this date the booking will be deemed cancelled and cancellation fees applied.
Transfer of booking and amendment to bookings
If you wish to change any bookings made on the original booking or transfer to another trip, you must advise Yeti Mountain Home in writing. Changes/Transfer incurs fees as follows:
- Amendment to original requested bookings – fee of USD 150 per person applies. If you transfer to another trip which departs within 12 months of original booked departure, the following fees apply:
- Between time of booking and 60 days prior to original booked departure – USD 150 fee plus any airlines charges
- From 59 days of original booked departure date – cancellation fees will apply.
Fitness & Health requirements
We recommend all participants take regular exercise before their trip. For trekking trips we require that you undergo a medical examination and have a doctor confirm on your trekking. If you suffer from severe heart, chest, muscular or respiratory disorders, are asthmatics or have high blood pressure we strongly advise against joining a trek. Should your medical questionnaire indicate that your doctor does not deem you fit enough to undertake a trek we will refund your deposit in full.
Minimal numbers on groups which results in cancellation of a trip
On any group trek, should there be too few people to conduct, we reserve the right to cancel that trip. If we are unable to transfer you to another trip your deposit and any payment will be refunded in full.
Your trip cost does not include travel or personal insurance. However, we INSIST you have adequate travel insurance cover for the duration of the trip. Proof of cover must be sent to this office before final documents will be issued.
Changes in trek/ tour route or itinerary
It may be necessary due to weather, local transport or various other reasons to make changes to your itinerary or route. Yeti Mountain Home reserves the right to do so at the discretion of the group leader. No refunds will be considered on the basis of itinerary/ route changes.
Postponement or delays
We do not take any responsibility for any flight delays or schedule changes at any stage throughout the trip.
This contract is not issued on behalf of any airline and does not make any commitment on their behalf in the course of the trip.
The quoted trip cost is accurate at the time of booking and we do our utmost to maintain fair costs. However, some matters are beyond our control and we reserve the right to increase our total trip cost up to time of departure as a result of major currency fluctuations, increased fuel costs, airport charges, increased airfares or increased local operator charges.
- Items not included in the trip costs ( unless specifically mentioned)
- Passport and visa charges
- Meals not included in quoted itinerary and cost
- Personal items – laundry, postage, medical expenses or any other personal expenses on tour.
- Emergency evacuation charges
- Excess baggage charges
- Personal travel insurance
If you have a complain
If you have a problem during your trip, you must inform your trek leader or guide who will endeavour to put things right. If your complaint is not resolved locally, please contact head office Ms. Pasang Lamu Sherpa ( Sales & Operation Manager) on her cell 9813905863 who will address the complaints immediately. It is strongly suggested that you communicate any complaint to your trek leader or guide without delay. If you fail to follow this simple procedure we will have been deprived of the opportunity to investigate and rectify your complaint during your trip and this may affect your rights.
As soon as you book with us, you acknowledge and confirm the following:
Yeti Mountain Home and its various land management authorities who grant the license to operate this trip being the licensor I am aware that your adventure trip, in addition to the usual dangers and risks inherent, has certain additional dangers and risks, some of which may include physical exertion for which I may not be prepared, weather conditions subject to sudden and unexpected change, remoteness from normal medical services, evacuation difficulties if I need evacuation. I accept all the inherent risks of the proposed adventure trip and the possibility of personal injury, death, property damage or loss therefrom. I acknowledge that the enjoyment and excitement of adventure travel is derived in part from the inherent risks incurred by travel and activity beyond the accepted safety of life at home or work and that these inherent risks contribute to such enjoyment and excitement, being a reason for my participation. I agree that if I suffer any injury or illness Yeti Mountain Home may, at my cost, arrange medical treatment and emergency evacuation services as they deem essential for my safety. In entering into this agreement I am not relying on any oral, written or visual; representatives or statements by Yeti Mountain Home or its staff or any other inducement or coercion to join this trip, only my own free will.
